About Jen
Scrappy, driven and dedicated, Jen Rice has developed countless innovative communications plans for small budgets (under $5K) and larger ones (up to $200K). In 2007 she formed Rice Public Relations (now Rice Communications), and has worked with more than 60 international, national, regional, and local event-based organizations, arts & entertainment nonprofits, authors and artists. She has remained dedicated to giving nonprofits and large venue-based businesses affordable marketing and PR support.

She was raised outside New York City, went to college in the Midwest, started her career in Washington DC, lived in Madrid Spain, and eventually settled in the Pacific Northwest. She brings a global perspective to each project while carefully navigating regional and community-based viewpoints. Her career experience includes two large PR agencies, one mid-sized dot-com, a small DC association and a large non-profit arts organization. What has remained consistent over the years is her unique ability to highlight the positive while motivating others. When Jen is not busy writing, researching, brainstorming, editing, posting or pitching… she is working on a wooden jigsaw puzzle, walking her dog, painting watercolor, hunting for her cat, or tending to her growing quarantine garden.
